We prefer to be placed near Figmint Cafe (if they will be present this year).
Also we had a great time being served by Tokyo Jake, so if he will be on staff
this year as a placement guide, we'd love to have him help us again.

Physical Description:
--------------------
Our camp is anchored to the Playa Community by a "Philthy Sanchez" salsa,
fortune cookie, and ice cold beer bar facing the main street. Total outside
dimensions are 60x100 ft. The camp is configured around a dominant "V" formed
by a BlueBird biodiesel school bus (not to be moved during the event) and two
10x20 ft shade structures, with the bar at the "top" of the V, giving maximum
exposure of "public camp space" to the street. Directly behind the bar and in
the center of the V is a shade structure with lounge area for campmates and
visitors. One of the large shade structures contains the kitchen with our
stoves, coolers, tables, and dishwashing station. Tents and a hexayurt, as
well as an evaporation frame, a costuming station, a shower station, and bike
storage are placed behind the V (slightly out of sight from the street). Cars
will be placed at the left and right edges of camp. Layout of the various
structures will allow easy access between camp and the street. As in previous
years, trash and recycling containers are in an easily accessed location
adjacent to the bus. Electrical power will be provided by extension cords
linked to the battery/inverter bank on the bus (solar charged). Tarps and
other hard structures will be guyed down with lanyards and rebar candy canes,
flagged with dayglo streamers, and lit at night by small battery powered LEDs
and solar garden path lights.

Interactivity Description:
-------------------------
CIB is about sharing our tasty goods and good humor with neighbors, passersby,
and friends. Food is a necessity and pleasure, a natural way
to give and engage others, and an excuse to entertain, meet, and interact with
the community. More than just sustenance a something one
does at camp in between other activities a we believe that serving and eating
great food is an integral and essential part of the Playa
experience; enjoying food IS a Burning Man activity. We have camped as a group
for the past 4 years, and have increased the
volume and refined the repertoire of treats over the years. We are also
focusing more attention on the food sharing as an event and an experience. At
our camp, we will have a kiosk facing the street, where every day we will
serve our signature "Philthy Sanchez" salsa. For the fourth year in a row, we
will make gallons of Philthy Sanchez, a lip-smacking, tongue-burning, rich and
tasty salsa, and share it with hundreds of others. Luchadores shouting,
mariachis singing, obnoxious gringos accosting people during our
chips-and-salsa events. People stop to taste, get salsa to take back to their
own camps, hobnob, mingle, be entertained, hang out. Make sure to stop by Camp
... In Bed for some salsa filled with spice, some red-hot lovin', all chased
with an ice cold beer! Our catch phrases: "It may not be the best sauce in the
world, but it's the best sauce *you'll* ever taste!" and (in a thick Bronx)
"Mustard? on my custard?! I'm disgusted! Try Sanchez!"
Outside of the salsa events, we will be giving out fortune cookies stuffed
with our own custom fortunes, both at camp and outside. At
daytime or nighttime, wherever we go, individually or as a group, we always
share cookies and fortunes. On the front of each fortune, our
personalized fortunes, and on the back, "From your friends on the Playa, Camp
... In Bed." Our fortunes are whimsical, funny, irreverent,
thought provoking, sometimes non-sensical: a few words or a sentence for
others to think about, wonder, remember. In addition to our culinary
contributions, as a small but highly motivated group we are able to pull
together for well-organized and orchestrated events, including group costume
and performance schticks. We will don our catsuit-leotards and turn on the
power to our mobile UV-light dayglo umbrellas, and march out in formation on
the Playa for the amusement of all. See our cool pic of this

('First, we reduce the stuff we bring (packages, etc.). At camp we have
separate cans marked "landfill," "recycle," and "burn." Each member has a MOOP
container on the bike at all times. We pick up and dispose of MOOP when we see
it during the entire week. As waste engineer/MOOP Czar, I make sure each
member does at least 1 hour of cleanup outside our camp on or before bug-out
day. We clean the camp area extensively after we have packed up all gear.
Everything is secured within the bus so no MOOP escapes during travel.',)
